Internet Marketing – How to Promote Your Website without Spending a Dime
Wednesday, March 9th, 20111. Write and distribute articles. Right now, there’s no better way to promote a website or a blog than article marketing. It’s the process of attracting online users using information as bait. These people use the internet to get solutions to their problems or expert advice. You give them what they want and you get that much-needed chance to send them to your website via your resource box. You don’t need to spend a single dime when using this amazing internet marketing tool. All you need to do is write articles and get them published on article directories, blogs, and on some social networking sites.
2. Forum posting. This is a great, faster way to get in touch with a group of people who are most likely to buy the products or services that you sell. Start by looking for forums that are closely related to your chosen niche. For example, if you’re selling cars, forums about automobiles would be the best online places to target. Keep in mind that it’s not wise to promote your products or services right away. What you can do is to build relationship with other members on your chosen forum so they’ll get to know you. Make sure that each time you create a post, you give these people a reason to believe that you’re an expert in your niche and that you’re the best person to contact should they have any problem.
3. Video marketing. You can also use YouTube and other video sites to promote your website. Create videos related to your products or services. For example, if you’re selling mineral make-ups, you can create how-to video showing your target audience how to apply your products on their faces. At the end of your videos, you can promote your website and your products. It’s that easy!
4. Viral marketing campaign. Get the help of some of your prospects to create awareness about your website and your product. How? Start by sending them free ebooks or newsletters. Then, instruct them to send your freebies to all the people they know. Don’t forget to insert the name and URL of your website on each page to make it hassle-free for interested parties to give you a visit.
5. Blog hopping. You can also promote product awareness by visiting blogs that are relevant to your chosen niche. Read the posts and leave amazing, useful comments for other online users to see. Again, your goal here is to get people to pay attention by giving them information that they’ll find useful. Ensure that you only use those blogs that will allow you to leave your site’s URL at the end of your comment.
