Why You Should Sell Group Coaching Instead of One on One
Today I was on a coaching call and I shared the following example:
(By the way, the assumption is that you can teach as much in a group class by adding a little more time and attention as you can with one on one, plus there is the added group dynamic - people helping people - that’s give extra real value).
But check this out:
Assume $200 per hour coaching fee, a 13 hour one on one contract would generate you $2600 for those 13 hours of delivery - and cost the client $2600.
If you were to give 13 1 1/2 hour segments in a group setting instead, for a total of 19 1 1/2 hours of teaching, and charge just $500 per client (a $2100 discount for your client) and put 10 clients in the program - you would have revenue of $5000 for 19 1/2 hours - just under $250 per hour, and increase of 25%, and the client would save 80%.
If you charge $1000 for the class, your client would still save $1600, and you would generate $10,000 - which would be about $500 per hour - a $300 increase per hour.
So you win with more revenue, the client wins with a lower price and the group dynamic.
